BE PREPARED

Preparation is key to getting the best tattoo possible. I suggest that you get a good night's sleep and avoid alcohol and caffeine before your session. Eat a well balanced meal, bring snacks, and water. Trust you'll feel much more relaxed and confident! Let's create something amazing together!

  • Be well rested

  • Wear comfortable clothes

  • Eat before appt. & bring water/snacks

  • Group appts will be dealt with one at a time

  • Bring an government issued ID

  • I take cash or card (card has a small transaction fee - check FAQ page for more details.)

AFTERCARE // PT.1 SARAN WRAP

1.  Leave your bandage on for a minimum of 2 hours. DO NOT re-bandage after discarding the wrap.

2.  After removal of bandage, wash thoroughly with warm-hot water and a non-scented antibacterial soap (i.e. Dial Gold Antibacterial Soap). Remove any blood or ointment residue.

3.  Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Let it dry completely.

4.  For the first week, 2x a day; apply a small amount of Aquaphor (ointment) over the tattoo. If the area is appears shiny or wet-looking; its TOO MUCH. Lightly dab with a clean paper towel to remove extra ointment. Make sure you always wash the tattoo before reapplying the Aquaphor (THIN layer).

5. After the 5 days, you can switch to Fragrance Free lotion. Fragrance can irritate the new tattoo.

6.  Keep your tattoo clean with soap & water (especially after working out).

Repeat this process for 2-4 weeks.

7. After a few days, it is normal for the tattoo to peel and shed skin. DO NOT SCRATCH. It'll be super itchy. If any scabs form, DO NOT pick at them. Let them fall off naturally. Picking will only ruin the tattoo causing ink to fall out. DO NOT over-saturate in the shower. Avoid baths. This will cause the tattoo to soften, resulting a blank spot, requiring a Touch Up.

8. You can apply sunscreen until after the tattoo is completely healed.

AFTERCARE
// PT.2
DERM-SHIELD

1. Leave clear bandage on for 2-4 days.

2. The bandage is water-resistant but not water-proof. It is safe to shower with but be cautious to make sure shower water does not enter underneath the bandage. It is normal to see plasma fluid inside the bandage. This won’t harm the tattoo.

3. Once you are ready to remove the bandage, do so in a hot shower and gently peel off. Once fully removed, wash with antibacterial soap.

Make sure all adhesive residue is removed. Dry with clean paper towel and lightly moisturize with non-scented lotion or a THIN layer of Aquaphor.

4. Continue to wash your tattoo 2-3x a day with warm water & antibacterial soap for the following 7-10 days. Make sure hands are always clean when touching your fresh tattoo. Continue to moisturize after washing/drying.

Tattoo will eventually start to peel (this is normal). Don’t itch or scratch.

Notes:

Refrain from doing extreme workouts (if sweat is trapped underneath the bandage, remove the Derm-Shield). Proceed with aftercare.

*If you notice any type of irritation from the bandage, remove immediately and proceed with aftercare.

Feel free to DM/email me with any questions or concerns.

HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR NEW TATTOO

  • NO SUN, NO TANNING

  • NO SOAKING, NO SWIMMING, NO JACUZZIS, NO OCEANS, NO LAKES, NO SAUNAS, NO POOLS, etc.

  • After the tattoo is completely healed, routinely use sunblock to protect the tattoo from sun damage. This will keep your tattoo looking at its best longer.

  • After healed (usually 2-4 weeks), come by the tattoo shop so I can take a look to make sure it doesn't need a touch up.

  • Touch up work is included for a short period of time (3 months), unless you desire to CHANGE the tattoo in some way, an additional fee will be required. This is a case by case basis.
